General Revelation

  1. A brilliant ancient Greek mathematician recognized that highly sophisticated, intricate order permeates the cosmos.
  2. The discovery of a "golden ratio" in design (1.6) is credited to a European, but may have been identified much earlier in India.
  3. One of the greatest artists and inventors of all time understood the importance of knowledge.
  4. Robert Boyle (1627-1691) put chemistry on a firm scientific footing, transforming it from a field bogged down in alchemy and mysticism into one based on measurement.
  5. Michael Faraday (1791-1867) was an English scientist who contributed to the study of electromagnetism and electrochemistry.
  6. Sir Isaac Newton (1643 -1727) was a physicist and mathematician who developed the principles of modern physics, including the laws of motion, and is credited as one of the great scientific minds of the 17th century
  7. Albert Einstein (1879-1955) was a German-born physicist who developed the general theory of relativity. He is considered one of the most influential physicists of the 20th century.
  8. Louis Pasteur: (1822-1895) The founder of modern medicine. In fact, his name provided the basis for a household word—pasteurized.
  9. Dr. Wernher Von Braun (1912-1977) was one of the most important rocket developers and champions of space exploration in the twentieth century.
  10. Dr. James M. Tour is a synthetic organic chemist who has over 650 research publications and 120 patents.
  11. God did not use trial and error to create; He made all things with wisdom.
  12. Wisdom, understanding and knowledge are like three legs on a stool supporting the entire universe.
  13. The stars and galaxies didn't "just happen" but were skillfully crafted.
  14. God's Spirit has wisdom, understanding, counsel, knowledge and might - all the qualities of sense, intellect and comprehension.
  15. The universe was not made by a big bang or a mindless explosion but with great energy guided by brilliant sagacity.
  16. Rationality and intellect predate the universe.
  17. The Bible describes a world-wide visible but inaudible communication on the magnificence of the created world
  1. Universal invisible verities are like ancient moral laws.
  2. The Code of Hammurabi was one of the earliest and longest legal documents, proclaimed by the Babylonian king Hammurabi, who reigned from 1792 to 1750 B.C. (or about 3800 years ago).
  3. Aesop was a Greek storyteller, famous for his fables, who lived about 2600 years ago.
  4. An Asian example of great moral teachers from antiquity: Confucius.
  5. Islam includes elements of moral truth.
  6. Buddhism includes elements of moral truth.
  7. Jesus spoke pure moral truth.
  8. Like gravity which affects everyone uniformly, moral truth also affects all people in the same way.
  9. Uneducated and illiterate people have an innate sense of justice such that the punishment should fit the crime.
  10. All human beings have a conscience designed by God to be with-science, that is, to guide them in the use of science.
  11. Instinctively, everyone (literate or illiterate) knows that there is an invisible Spirit-Creator possessing enduring power and incredible intelligence.
  12. The ruler of ancient Egypt knew that adultery was wrong even before written commandments against it.
  13. Roman law was not Jewish or Christian yet if reflected natural law which demands that everyone gets a fair trial.

Special Revelation

  1. The Bible in inerrant.
  2. No Bible commandments should be ignored.
  3. God's law is pure moral truth.
  4. God does not lie and is not the author of lies.
  5. It is very good to study the bible with the intent to learn from it in humility.
  6. God's word is truth and provides hope to face ugly realities.
  7. Despite being pure truth, the Bible can be twisted and misapplied.
  8. The Gospel is truthfully good news, not just wishful thinking.
  9. Jesus Christ is the center point of the gospel- a message in the form of a person.
  1. Jesus Christ is not new but was there when everything started.
  2. The Ten Commandments came near the start of God's written revelation to humanity. Jesus Christ is the culmination of God's communiqué to humanity.
  3. Freedom comes from knowing and doing the truth.
  4. The people said, “You aren’t even fifty years old. How can you say you have seen Abraham?” Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, before Abraham was even born, I AM!"
  5. The Bible says that Jesus Christ is the ONLY way to God.
  6. Sooner or later everyone will bow to the authority of Jesus.
  7. Worship of anything plus Jesus Christ is heresy - poisonous teaching.
  8. Within Jesus Christ come all the benefits of education and information.
  9. Jesus Christ has all the attributes of God Almighty.
  10. Jesus said:
    1. I am the way, and the truth and the life; no one comes to the Father except through me.
    2. I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in Me though he die, yet shall he live and everyone who lives an believes in me shall never die.
    3. I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.
